Annie Girl founder and chief designer Annie Sokoloff followed her heart and passion into fashion when she left a successful career spanning decades as an executive in finance, personnel and travel. A graduate of the world-renowned Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, Annie's graduate Debut fashion show was attended by Oscar award winning costume designers and members of the international fashion community.

Annie's passion for fashion began at an early age, learning the fine art of sewing from her grandmother at age four. Eventually she earned money for college by working in a dress factory and altering bridal gowns for a top bridal salon. From Barbie® clothes to prom gowns, evening coats and dresses, Annie continued to create designs and beautiful clothes for herself, friends and family during a long professional career and with responsibilities as a wife and mother.

Asked to summarize why she created the Annie Girl concept, Annie said, "I want to bring out the beauty and elegance and grace in the way little girls wear their clothes."
